Shabby Elegance Decor
Shabby Elegance is a term describing a method
of Interior Decorating in which the used and worn is
balanced with the new to create a fresh and warm
appearance in a room.
A shabby elegant decorated room would consist of
at least one piece of furniture that has been painted
white with the corners lightly sanded off and roughed
up a little. A coat of white paint will transform a dark worn
chair or table.
Shabby elegant décor takes what fixtures we have,
mixes them with the valuables we find in attics,
garage sales etc…,combines the results with an
antique or two and transforms the room into something
beautiful.
I‘m going to leave the discussions of wrought iron,
candles, fireplaces, wood carvings, and beautiful lace
requirements for a shabby décor for another time, and
focus this Newsletter on the most important object in
the house.

will of God” and also, “You shall know Him for you shall see
Him as He is.”
It is in “knowing Him”, that we see Him.
